Lectors and Eucharistic
Ministers
March 2010 Newsletter
Hello Dear Friends!
EUCHARISTIC MINISTERS: Pick up
your list of Eucharistic Ministers for 2010 if you have not already done
so. The H1N1 Precautions will continue for the month of March – Cups remain
suspended, probably until Easter.
Remember to implement
the new changes that were outlined in the December newsletter: 1) leave altar to your position on the floor
when you have received your patten 2) stay on the altar
and face the Tabernacle
until the Host is returned to the
Tabernacle; then leave the altar 3) wait
until the priest hands you the empty patten – do not
take it off the altar
4) Positions 3H and 4H will distribute Holy Communion to the
center isle by standing to the side of the Celebrant and 6H – a couple of feet
apart
LECTORS: Pick up your list of Lectors for 2010 if you
have not already done so. Pick up your
Lector book from me or the Office if you have not already done so.
Directives from
Monsignor Lewis: Proclaim the Announcements! Do not just read them – put some emphysis & feeling into the Announcements.
TEAM LEADERS: Monsignor may ask for two extra Eucharistic
Ministers for the center isle at busy Masses.
One would stand to the right of the priest, the other to the left of
6H. This is NEW. He will tell you at prayer time if extras are
needed.
Sign up sheets are
posted for Ash Wednesday & Friday evening Masses.
Things continue
well. Keep up the good work! And, thanks
for all you do! -Mary
